Info & Itinerary
Kwalhna is the home territory of the Kwalhnamc families of the Nuxalk First Nation who still talk today about their dreams to return home. The evidence of their long history of use of the area is scattered all around the bay and include a landslide-buried archaeological site, culturally modified trees and burial boxes. Listen to stories about the Nuxalk people, ancient village sites and how Kwalhna was integral in the success of ending the trophy bear hunt in the Great Bear Rainforest.
